This is an insert into the April 20, 1941 automobile section of the Herald Chicago American newspaper. The insert is titled "Spring Touring Number". It is absolutely loaded with auto advertising about such items as Dodge Fluid Drive, information on the (then) latest technology, Vacuum Shift, DeSoto convertible, DeSoto Fluid Drive, Chevrolet's "Fleetline," Ford Predicts Record Year, Overdrive Relaxes Car and Driver, New Pontiacs Built To Meet Touring Needs, 100,000 Drivers Thrill To Hydramatic Drive, Nash Convertible Sleeper Cuts Traveling Costs"..will sleep "two sprawling six footers"--I actually hate to part with this, because it is so full of auto history, but it's time for it to have another good home to care for it. This newspaper section has some yellowing and age deterioration (keep in mind that it's 63 years old), but, overall, it is very readable and provides hours of enjoyment.Cost of this rare find is $75.00, which includes surface shipping to any point in the continental USA.

If you would prefer to buy this item by phone with a MasterCard or VISA, call me at (518) 674-2445.
