Automobilia/Collectibles -- Page 6

Old, slightly rare, very rare, and unbelievably rare classic automobilia & collectible items for sale

This ad is from page 139 of the February 12, 1912 Issue of Scientific American. Its subject is "Buick Motor Cars-Power and Silence," and it details the various methods Buick used then to make a high quality car. It also advertises the "Model 35: Price "$1,000.00" (oh, for the days...). The ad measures 11" by 16". Cost is $30.00, which includes standard shipping to any point in the continental USA.

Old red colorful oil can for the collector. If it could talk, it would tell you decades worth of auto history--I estimate that it's from approximately the 1940's, and it appears to have originally been the red color it is now. On the can, it says "EAGLE," then "1 GAL CAP". This is in pretty good shape, handle and all. It does have some light age wear, which adds to its authenticity and historical provenance. Cost is $45.00, which includes standard surface shipping to any point in the continental USA.

I aquired this amazing garage tool recently. Originally made by the Aro Corporation in the late 1930's through the early 1940's, this "Model 77 Aro Flusher" was used to drain and refill gear cases, such as automotive differentials. I contacted the corporation that bought out Aro years ago, and unbelievably they had someone on staff that found old Operating Instruction and Accessory info sheets and FAXed them to me. They are included with the unit. I cannot attest to the operationality of this unit, but it does seem to be all there. Wear (scratches, etc) are what you would expect of a piece of equipment of its age. Overall, it's a great piece of automotive history, and, oh, if it could just talk! Cost is $125.00, which includes standard ground shipping to any point in the continental USA.
