Hancock Shaker Step Stool This step stool is a duplicate of one made at the Hancock, Massachusetts Shaker community in the 19th century. The original is in the collection of the Shaker Museum and Library in Old Chatham, New York. The Hancock Step Stool is made in clear Eastern white pine. Height is 24". Width 17 1/4". Depth 14 1/4". Shaker Revolving Chair This type of revolving chair was first produced at the Shakers' Mount Lebanon, NY chair factory about 1860. It makes a great office chair, and can be raised or lowered quickly thanks to a threaded steel rod. Height of seat can vary from 17 1/2" to 21 1/2". Bent back is an additional 10 1/4" high. Seat diameter is 15 1/2". The Shaker Revolving Chair is made like the original, with base and back in hard maple and a seat of clear Eastern white pine. |
